Simply Rawsome promotes adopting healthier habits in eating and lifestyle. In general we do that by encouraging greater consumption of foods that are whole, raw, vegan, and organic: the kind you would find in your garden!
Why these four distinctions?
-Whole, because the more natural and less processed a food is, the better it tends to be for you.
-Raw, because these foods haven't had the beneficial nutrients and digestive enzymes cooked out of them.
-Vegan, because removing animal-derived ingredients (i.e. meat, cheese, milk, eggs, etc.) from your diet, even temporarily, can be very healing.
-Organic, because chemicals, pesticides, and depleted soils do not make a vibrant, healthful foundation for a meal.
We aim for Simply Rawsome to be a very approachable meetup group. It does not matter to us if you are well-versed in raw vegan foods or have never even heard of them before. Come out for an event, meet some people, and get a taste of some really delicious and healthful foods! We only ask that you come with an open heart and mind, willing to consider a path that may be different from the one you are now on.
