Join the Food Revolution

John Robbins has an incredible life story. He walked away from the Baskin-Robbins empire to write and advocate for a food revolution. Among his best selling books are 'Diet for a New America', 'The Food Revolution', 'Healthy at 100', and, most recently, 'Voices of the Food Revolution'.

As John does not like to travel, due to the environmental damage that air travel causes, he and his son, Ocean, have prepared an exclusive video to be shown as part of the Holistic Wellness Symposium, organised by Kampung Senang.

Also speaking at the Symposium are Singapore's Minister of Education, Mr Heng Swee Keat, and a local doctor, Dr Vincent Tan, will speak on 'Cancer Prevention Through a Balanced Life'. Dr Tan's own story of how he has walked away from established medicine to embrace alternative forms, including vegetarianism, is well worth hearing.

All of this is preceded by a vegan lunch which is scheduled to begin at 12.30. Plus, one event on the programme that I'm especially looking forward to is the laughter yoga by the irrepressible Mr Ram.

Ticket : $30 (inclusive of lunch & $300 worth of vouchers)
Group tickets: buy 10 get 1 free; buy 20 get 3 free; buy 50 get 10 free

Some very good speakers. Dr Vincent Ran was my favourite. The food wasn't great, but is was decent. A good event for bolstering our determination to eat less or no meet.

I should add that most of the food was organic. And, the goodie bag had an apple and banana, not to mention the oranges given out as we were leaving. Congrats to Kampung Senang!

I went initially for the Robbins' speaches but ended up taking an interest in the pranic healing. The twin hearts meditation segment was an amazing experience for me and I have since signed up to learn pranic healing! Maybe in future meet ups I could share this experience :) definitely agree with George about increasing enthusiasm around living plant based!

Hi , what's happening in the morning? Is it starting at 930 or 1230? If there's not much going on in the morning I'll skip it. Thanks.
