Food distribution to the under privileged around Ang mo kio.

Hi Friends,

This is another joint event with CSORG

We will meet @ Blk 257 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 for packing and distribute the goody bags to old folks above 60 years old and the low income families.

"Note: The food bags distributed by SVM will be entirely vegetarian"

Lastly we will go to Marsiling for our last distribution. Then dinner n debrief.

We are trying to give these items like Rice, Bee Hoon, Milo, Instant Coffee/Tea etc.

We hope to raise as many as 500 goodie bags for 500 families. At present, we are giving 100 pillows to the old folks at Lee Ah Mooi Old Aged Home, some mattress to those families who sleep on cardboard.

1. All food will be bought by CSORG n delivered to Blk 257 on that day.

2. For donations, pls transfer to my POSB Savings a/c:[masked]-6.

3. As we are purchasing large sacks of rice and repacking it into smaller packets for distribution. And also to give it to each n every home on that day. We do need more people.

    Tks All for participating in this event, as I can remember, this event has the best turnout rate amoung all SVM events.
    As for your suggestions, We will certainly take note of it and try to improve as much as possible. Like most of you, this is my first time joining such an event, and do notice there is a lot more to improve on.
    With regards to the suggestions below,
    1. Ordering of food stuffs, plastic bags etc: That is something that is controllable, and will be improved.
    2. Time schedule would varies on each event, very much dependent on the turnout rate n overall co-ordinations. Thus not may be 100% feasible.
    3. As for the hardware part such as having enough chairs for members to sit on while packing, that would also depend largely on the turnout rate, and facilities each organization partner can provide.
    4. Lastly, as for arranging members who drive to help deliver the food stuff. Will certainly adopt that in the next event.
