Mar 22: Recap of Tea Chapter meetup on 22 Mar '08

Hi everyone!

The photos for the recent Tea Chapter meetup have been uploaded at http://vegetarian.mee... , be sure to check it out! In case you've not seen them yet, there are also pictures of our previous Indian vegetarian meetup at Annalakshmi here: http://vegetarian.mee...

Gary joined us only after having 3 hours of sleep and arriving back in Singapore from India at 7am - thanks for turning up Gary! We've also had two members joining us for the first time, Rudy and Ashley, both only signing up to the group fairly recently.

We've had a great time learning how to brew a pot of Chinese tea from the tea experts at Tea Chapter, after having a live demonstration on what its all about. We've even tried mixing up some tea "cocktails" by combining different kinds of tea - some cocktails were good, some... not so. :-) And as usual, conversation topics were really varied, from experiences of switching to vegetarianism to who we're backing for the US and Taiwan elections.

After we've all had our fill of tea, I proceeded to show how the game of Go (otherwise known as Weiqi or Baduk) is played and we've had 3 team games afterwards. I hope everyone had an interesting experience with the game. :-) BTW, if you're interested in learning how to play Go too, try this excellent tutorial which you can play through in just half an hour or less: and you can even play the game on FaceBook now (http://apps.facebook....)

Great big thanks to everyone who attended, and for those who haven't, hope to see you next time!
