Lost restaurant

Someone wrote to Vegetarian Society asking about a lost restaurant. I asked a few people; no one knew, but the person asked me to try again. And, who better to ask than the foodies at SG Veg Meetup. If you have any advice, please write to Kumari directly at kumari_km@hotmail.com

I once ate at a Vegetarian Restaurant at Chinatown located in the building
opposite Chinatown Point Car Park Entrance. I think the cook was a monk.
The vegetarian food served was so delicious as he was able to imitate our
local dishes with its vegetarian equivalent. An example was he cooked the
bitter gourd soup with tow kee and it looked and tasted like our usual
bitter gourd soup with egg-white. I was so sad when I found out that the
shop has closed and not sure if it has moved somewhere else. The prices of
the food served were also very affordable. If you know about this
restaurant and where it has re-located to, please let me know. I find it
hard to find an inexpensive vegetarian restaurant that serves normal and
natural vegetarian dishes without much mock meat. Please recommend me some
if you know of any.
Thank you.
Regards,
Kumari
