Single Parents of Greater Hampton Roads

We are Chapter 216 of Parents Without Partners International, a non-profit support group for single parents and their children. We are a local network of single parents just like you!

We provide family activities, adult social programs, and educational programs. Activities include bowling, camping, arts and crafts, museum trips, discussions, dances, house parties, restaurant trips, and much more! You choose which activities you want to attend.

Our members range in age from early 20s through 70s - some are separated, some divorced, some widowed, and some never married. Some have young children, some have teens, and some have adult children. Whatever your situation, there is probably someone here you can relate to.

You are eligible to join PWP if you are single by reason of separation, divorce, death of a spouse or have never been married and you are a parent of one or more living children. Your age, your child’s age or custody arrangements are not a factor for eligibility. The common denominator is that we are all single parents.

Our members live in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, upper North Carolina and other local cities.

Attend a Single Parent Get Together on Tuesday nights at 7pm at Village Inn Restaurat to get information about our group, and meet some of our members. Annual membership in our group is $40, which includes local, regional, and national dues. We help pay for the cost for our member children and grandchildren to attend many activities.

This site only includes events which are open to the public. Many of our events are in members homes - that information is provided to you in your newsletter if you come and join our organization.
