I don't see how this wine/bike outing can beat the last one (Valley of the Moon) Sonoma ?
But we will try. This trip is a bit longer but also flat. No hills like in Sonoma.
We will meet & start from the Compadres parking lot. **Please park away from the front entrance. Park close to Lincoln ave. It's a big lot.
We will start out riding along the Napa river. Shady & beautiful. I will have maps for the complete route, and all stopping points and the lunch location.
We will try and hit at least 4-5 wineries. Our lunch stop will be at Andretti's w/wine. This will be a one hour stop. (No over drinking). Eat lot's of food. *Bring a lunch.
I'll also have all the usual hiking food, water, juice, tea, energy drinks, gourmet fruit & nut packs, trail bars, etc.
I'll have wine 2 for 1 passes for all. I'm also hoping to procure some freebe passes.
It's very hard in upscale FuFu Napa these days. And many wineries charge 20.00 to 50.00 for tastings. I'll be working on getting passes for all. I should be able to get most tastings for no more that 5.00 p.p. Or free.??
We will return to Compadres for another super fun dinner gathering on the huge deck over the Napa river. **I'll have one buck House Margarita's for all.
Yes; it's good to know the owner. Great food & presentation. They have heaters if you get cold & will also provide comfy Shawls to keep you warm & cozy.
The cost is $30, if you bring your own bike & 55.00 if you need a rental.
Prepare for a big group. We had 45 last time. A total maxed out fun day.
Ok; go and mark your calendars. And let me know how many bikes we will need. I also need your height for the bike.
Hey Tom, get the conversation started!
