This event is being hosted by the "Fun 30/40s Crowd" in which I am a member of. This event is limited to 20 people from four different meet up groups. PLEASE dont take a slot unless your sure you are going. Thanks. I figured it would be a good idea to combine them since I plan on "Snowboard Surfing" after Snowboarding with you all that day anyway. The verbiage below is from their website. http://www.meetup.com/Fun-30-40-crowd-who-enjoys-the-colorado-outdoors-lifestyle/events/111141822/
NOTE!!! If you want to carpool then please post here so arrangements can be made. I plan on taking my Motor Home up and staying overnight (in Keystone I think) and snowboarding the next day (You can roll with me if you make other sleeping arrangements).
It’s not that often in Colorado that we get the opportunity to kick it on a beach, but we are lucky enough to have one of the most gnarliest “beaches” in all of North America…”The Beach” @ ABasin. This “beach” has many nuisances: it contains water in its frozen state, you don’t have to worry about drowning (well maybe in beer), you can rip down a mountain and waves won’t knock off your feet, but a bump might…All in all, one of sweetest “beaches” around!!! With the winter season coming to end it’s time to celebrate in fine Colorado fashion with a “Tiki Beach Party”.
The “Tiki Beach Party” commences on Saturday, April 20th @ 9AM and will continue through the day or until I am told to the leave “The Beach”. I will acquire a spot along the “The Beach” at all cost necessary, so we will have a lovely plot of snow to call home for the day. I will have a grill fired up for cooking, but please bring your own items to grill as there is no way I can supply all the grub. A ½ barrel i.e. keg of beer will be present, maybe (2) barrels if the numbers necessitate, all I ask for is a $5 donation for a little red solo cup. Feel free to bring along other libations. If anybody, has a decent mobile sound system you are more than welcome to pump out some tunes, I may even be able to score a generator if necessary. I highly recommend bringing a camp chair, skis/boards, your dog if you got one, sunscreen and proper attire. Yes, break out your hula skirts, Hawaiian shirts, bikinis and your coconuts.
Our spot will be denoted with a sand colored Nissan Pathfinder and a Tiki torch, there’s no way to give an exact locale until I arrive onsite, just keep your eyes peeled between the Molly Hogan Lift and the Pallavacinni Lift.
As you all know the weather can be finicky this time of year so be prepared to deal with a non-blue bird day…We will make the most of it…Party on!!!!
Drink responsibly & ski responsibly...Designated drivers are highly recommended as you will need to get home which entails mountain driving..."Safely without incident"!!!
