Ready Kathryn's house for sale/have moving sale 11/7-10

As many of you know, I am trying to get my house ready for sale.  It is getting down the crunch and Dwight and I are getting pretty stressed as we have so much to do yet and so little time.  So.....I was wondering if any of our friends would be willing to pitch in and help.  Some could help with moving sale.  Some could help with house prep for sale.  I wouldn't ask, but we are feeling very pressured so thought we would reach out and ask for help. The house is supposed to be on the market in two weeks.  This can help someone else who is in a health/financial situation to be able to keep his own home (Not Dwight), hence we are trying to get things done quickly to help him before he loses his home.

We are looking for help with two things:  1) have moving sale this weekend.  We have decided that much of the furniture will stay until sale of house is done, but then all of you will know what is going/how much and can have dibs on it before anyone else.  1) We need help PRIOR to sale to clear out garage.  Then within the next two weeks, (hopefully mostly this weekend, we need to complete getting the house ready for sale.

The things we need help with to prepare house for sale:

1) remove entry wallpaper --that Braden in toddlerhood decided to peel part off.  :p

2) paint entry and possibly other rooms, i.e., hallway and maybe living room

3) (gently) take off trim and restain it to freshen it up/make it look new

4) put new paneling up in kitchen on half wall (small area)

5) if someone knows how, he/she can etch and reglaze shower

6) clean walls

7) shampoo carpets

8) dye curtains from family room and dining room

9) weed/freshen yard

10) help Dwight finish rubber mat in exercise area of basement

11) paint garage floor/walls

12) grout bathroom wall tile above sinks- 2 bathrooms, add trim

13) reattach curtains

14) move stuff OUT of house that makes it look more cluttered/busy!  ha ha

Sorry Kathryn! I won't be able to help. This is my one weekend to get some things done in between two weeks in AZ and my surgery next week. I hope everything goes well!

also, some other Meetups have been helping each other fix/fix up things in their homes. It is a way to learn and grow and also have camaraderie with each other. At the Halloween party that I just had, people were discussing it, and it was receiving very positive feedback.

Those meetups were either w/SPDA or Energizers. I don't remember which one.

Karen - we don't typically put things like this on our meet up site. However I been a part of meetup for a long time and have a lot of friends in the group, so this is an easy way for me to reach out and ask for help at this time.

I didn't realize we could use this forum for something like this. I'm in the same position as far as getting my home ready for the market so I would not be able to help. Good luck!
