Concerts in the Park-The Blue Olives

The city of Verona sponsors a "Concert in the Park" series in Harriet Park during the summer, and one of my favorite bands - The Blue Olives - will be there this year! Yes, it's a Thursday, but it ends at 8pm so plenty of time to get home and get to bed for work the next day. :)

I've never actually attended any of these concerts, but the park has a shelter with (I am told) bathrooms. There is also a playground for the kiddos.

Given the start time (6pm) I will plan to bring some sort of picnic dinner. If there is enough interest, we could start a bit earlier (5:30) and do a picnic potluck, so please let me know when you RSVP if you are interested in this option.

NOTE: Kids and new members are welcome!! Not sure about dogs, but I would think they would be welcome, too, as long as they are on a leash.

Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to see you there!

Yes! Scored an Elmo balloon at Dollar Tree for, you guessed it, $1!

FYI, I think the band only plays until 8pm so I changed the time for the meetup to 6-8pm (it was set to end at 8:30 before...not sure how that happened).

Hi all, this is a reminder to bring some chairs or a blanket if you want to sit and whatever food and/or beverages you might want. Also maybe bug spray. I will definitely bring a balloon so everyone can find us, but I haven't gotten it yet so I don't know what it'll be, although I'm partial to character balloons such as Elmo and Spongebob. See you later!

I like the idea of the potluck, although I am fine with doing my own thing too. I believe my kids will be with their dad. How does one locate one another at these things? Thanks.

I am going to *try* to make my kids (son 16 and daughter 14) come. Hopefully they will! Other than Amy (below) I haven't gotten a lot of responses to the potluck idea so we'll all just do our own thing I guess. I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
