Halloween Potluck, Costume, Pumpkin Carving, and Social Event

  • Oct 27, 2012 · 4:00 PM
  • TBA

We thought it would be fun to have a Halloween gathering and decorate pumpkins to have ready for the big day.  I live in Fitchburg and will email the address prior to even to those who RSVP, so please have your meetup site set to take emails -- at least temporarily.

You do not have to have a costume, but it will definitely make it more fun.  Feel free to bring a pumpkin and either carving or decorating gear for your pumpkin.  We can get pictures of our pumpkins later in the evening.  Bring a dish and a beverage....it would help if you post what you will bring in your RSVP.  (If you can, please remember I am allergic to onions.  If you end up having it in something, let me know or post it....please.)  I will have to come up with a new "brew" for the group.  The grill will be available.  I will have some brats available to throw on.  I can also make a fire in the firepit on the deck if people would like.  Of course, we also always have the two levels to mingle.  This meetup is in conjunction with Energizers, so I am limiting the number so as to not get too many people between the two groups.  I will max at about 60 people total.

Things to bring:

Yourself!!! (in costume if you can, but not required for entry.)  ha ha

Pumpkin and pumpkin carving decorating kit (optional)

A dish to share (or you could sign up for staples such as Halloween plates, cups or napkins...it all helps.)

Beverage

....and then be ready to share in the fun and laughter of the evening.

Happy Halloweeeeeeen....

Kathryn (and Braden)

She does not now where... It is a long earring from 4 beads in bluish colors. Thanks Kathryn. :)
I understand that if she lost it outside it can be difficult to find...just asking...

  • Kathryn

Olga: How big and what does it look like. Any idea if she lost it inside or out?

    October 28, 2012

Attention to all Kathryn's party guests! My daughter Maria has lost one of her new earrings yesterday at Kathryn's house. We just made it with her on our first Jewelry Making Class on 10/26/12. If you found it, please, let us know. Thank you very much!

No time to make anything. Will bring some burgers & buns... Anything else you need from the store?

    October 27, 2012

  • Ken

    1. I'll bring your gallon of orange sherbet, Kathryn.

    2. Braden's "Fangs for coming." That was good.

    October 27, 2012

    • Kathryn

Ken: I have the orange sherbet covered. Could you bring a quart (smaller) of lime sherbet and 2 x 2L bottles of lemon lime soda? That would be really helpful. I will watch my cell phone emails as I am out and about today to see if you respond. Thanks!

      October 27, 2012

    • Ken

I just got back from the store with a gallon of orange sherbet. Oh, well. I'll bring it anyway, and someone can take it home if you can't use it.

Hey Kat! I'm sorry-had to change my RSVP. Nadia came down with a bad cold, and an earache on top of it. Methinks a trip to urgent care is in our schedule for today! :( Have fun, all! I know you will-Kat is an awesome hostess!

    October 27, 2012

    • Kathryn

I hope Nadia feels better soon...

Not sure what I'll bring... going to New Glarus first so I might be a little late but there by 5 for sure!

    October 27, 2012

  • Kathryn

Does anyone have an cauldron (with no holes in bottom) that I can put the witches brew in? I am also looking for a gallon of orange sherbet. I will be making an alcoholic witches brew for the adults who want it and a NA one for the kids. and nondrinkers. Just need a cauldron....

Also will email my address one more time in the morning in case anyone else adds on since there are now some openings.

I changed the RSVP limit so that people can post more than two guests (so we get an accurate count). Also increased the limit. Braden is excited kids are coming. :)

If we do come I have 3 kids ages 4 5 and 7

    October 21, 2012

  • Kathryn

Yes. My son will be there, too. It helps for planning if I know how many kids and their ages. Please also count them in the RSVP. (That is why I have a +1.)

    October 21, 2012

  • Beata

Is it kid friendly or not?

    October 21, 2012

  • Kathryn

Brad: I love your comment. Will be looking forward to seeing what you are bringing.

    October 14, 2012

If anyone has one of those outdoor heaters they can bring, please let me know. We can put it on the other side of the deck from the firepit and make it bery comfortable out there. Just a thought in my little preparatory mind...
