There are also a couple good books by Barbara DeAngelis that deal with the subject of not falling into similar patterns, avoid toxic relationships etc.
- How Did I Get Here?
- Are You the One For Me ?

I have read them and they have helped me to see some places where I went wrong, and hopefully to avoid such mistakes moving forward.

Cheers,
Mike Courtney

Margaret is actually an interesting person. She's one of the counselors whom leads the Divorce support group at Bethel on Tuesday nights (which I regularly attend, just came from actually, and has been really good for me).  I think this is really healthy stuff to take in, especially if you're looking to avoid patterns from past relationships. It's really easy for us to blame the other person when there is a divorce, but even if that is absolutely black and white the case, how do we do what we can not to fall into the pattern of picking that kind of person again? It's for people whom want to make intentional healthy choices. I mean, none of us are prefect, but the more proactive we are about making the right choices, the less likely we will be to find ourselves in another situation like this. And with today's odds...

All,

There is a class called "Avoiding Dating Dementia", that actually teach adults on how to be prepared to get back into dating. And yes, there is homework. The class size is usually limited to 8-10 however is willing to expand to a manageable size so that there is more interactive discussion.

Here is a bit more information about the class that can be found on the website http://puffinspresentations.com/dementia.html. If you are interested feel free to contact via email to me <[address removed]> or Margaret Lambert  <[address removed]>.

We have the ability to set our own group session for either Monday, Wednesday or Thursday meetings, with a group discount $225 per person for the 10 week sessions. However, we must have at the minimum 8 people and sign up together. The times are usually 6-8:30 or another time everyone is willing to meet.

I was hoping to have enough people for the 10 week session to begin on Thursday evenings 6pm -8:30pm this spring beginning April 10th - June 17th. Otherwise, the fall session begins September 9th, Thursday evenings 6pm - 8:30pm.

It's definitely worth checking out!

Cheers,

Jennifer
