4/21/2013 Organizer Meeting recap
We met and went over the following;
1. We verified what the organizer responsibilities are.
A. Schedule the meet up with the place of business, this is usually a phone call to let them know what you want to do and when, so that there is proper space and personnel to handle the meet up. Make sure you clarify individual checks and gratuity if it is for a restaurant.
B. Post accurate information with date, time, payment type accepted and any extra fees that may occur.
c. Follow up and answer any questions about your meet up.
You are not responsible for their payment, transportation or safety, each individual is responsible for their self. We provide a place to go and company to go with… That is what we are, an activity support group.
Concerns, included attendance at the meet ups and no shows. It was decided that if an organizer notices a continuous pattern of “no show” for a member, that member’s attendance will be monitored and a letter sent to them explaining why this is not acceptable.
We will periodically send out a reminder note to ALL members to let them know that not showing up when you are counted is not acceptable.
We are always looking for more suggestions for the calendar , so if you have an idea don’t hesitate to add it on the calendar or post a note on the message board so an organizer can post it for you.
None of us want to be “meet up police” we want this to be a fun and supportive group of “boomer age” folks having fun!!
