Time change!! Indoor Ropes Course at the Palisades Center!!! Wahoooooooo!!!

Update!! I just called to find out about a group, and it sounds like the price went up. $16.99 plus tax. They open at 11, so I'm thinking we should arrive there at 10:45 to avoid waiting on the line. We can always shop if need be!! Carpool time changes to 9:45. Will update if our group gets a discount or some big prize. :-)

UPDATE: This is AWESOME!!! You cannot be scared of heights or narrow places. You can't take ANYTHING in with you. There are lockers for your belongings. We will need a designated camera person who stays outside and doesn't participate. It is very worth just watching!!! :-) Wear good soled shoes if you participate.

Here comes something different!!! Let's try the World's Tallest Indoor Ropes Course!!!! Wahooooooo!!!! Tickets are $15 each. We can carpool from up here, Chicago Uno near the thruway entrance in Central Valley. Please put CARPOOL in your RSVP. The carpool address is 20 Centre Drive, Central Valley, NY 10917. We will dine afterwards at the mall.

$2 Meetup fee unless it's your first in which case it's free. Please send me your cell, I will return with mine. Bring your camera, I can't wait!!!! If you don't carpool we will meet OUTSIDE their location at Level 4 of the Palisades Center. Meet at 10:45 there or carpool at 9:45am from Chicago Uno in Central Valley.

From their website at www.palisadesclimb.com:

Get ready to experience the World’s tallest indoor ropes course standing 85 feet tall. The Palisades Climb will provide adventure, thrills and excitement. Located indoors on Level 4 of the Palisades Center. The ropes course offers a year-round weather-proof challenge for families and adventurers of all ages. The course is designed with the physical fitness experience level of each participant in mind. More advanced athletes will discover a challenge while “just for fun” climbers will experience a sense of accomplishment as they navigate through the course. The course has varying design and difficulty and has a capacity for 75 guests at a time. It contains 75 different challenge elements, including a tremor bridge, tension traverse, a vertical rope ladder, a quarter cargo net, a two line rope bridge, an alternating spaghetti handline and a three line lumber rope bridge. Each element includes a different ropes configuration such as bridges, tight ropes, loops and balance beams, obstacles present challenges of strength, balance and agility. The Palisades Climb takes adventure to new heights, a thrilling experience for families to engage in physical activity while having fun!

Safety is a top priority for Palisades Climb. A seat and chest harness is connected to a cable that keeps guests on the track. Once guests are hooked in with the harness and cable, they are not able to get off the ropes course track until they exit the course.

Located at Palisades Center! 4590 Palisades Center Drive, West Nyack, NY 10994

Thanks for the great day everyone! I have now uploaded the best 40 of the 60 shots that I took at the Palisades Center. Incidentally, the blur that is a handful of later shots is, in fact, intentional. I was experimenting with slow shutter speed to give the image(s) a sense of action and movement. Hope that the pics appeal not only to the participants earlier today, but also to other group members who may viewing the slideshow to see what they missed today. Sincerely,
    Michael

What a novel way to spend the afternoon. The indoor ropes course was super fun and quite a bit of a challenge at times. Both the food and service at the Yardhouse were very good and as always the company was excellent. Great idea Sheryl.

At this point, I should be able to make it unless I get (possible) last-minute real estate request from friend. Also, I am an amateur photographer with a professional camera and am okay with being the "designated" one! :-)

Hi Sheryl, Is the $16.99 good for the whole day or as long as we want or is there a specific amount of time that we can enjoy the course?

    March 17, 2013

    • Sheryl

When it was $15 it was your time, no limit....I'm guessing people can still leave the event when they have had enough, that won't have changed. I'm staying as long as the last person!!! I had a BLAST once I left my inhibitions behind on the first and second course........WAHOO!!!! Of coure there is a closing time, and I will want to eat around lunchtime.......ha!! :-)
