Dragon Boat Team

There is a dragon boat team that is starting, and we need more people for our team. it's a fun activity to try if you like paddling with a team and a drummer. You don't need to know how to dragon boat paddle, they will teach you there. We meet every Sunday at 4:00. It's 5 dollars a practice, but it's free the first practice. Come meet up with us every Sunday down on the flats.  It's a fun team sport and a different thing to do in your very own city of Cleveland.

Is any prior experience needed? No experience necessary. Dragon Boat racing is for all ages and levels of fitness. If you enjoy working with team mates and having fun on the water, Dragon Boat racing is for you. Teams will have the opportunity to practice together, learn proper paddling techniques and develop the ability to work as a team. Still not convinced that this sport is for you? The Team The team consists of 20 paddlers, a drummer and an experienced steersman (provided by Cleveland Rowing Foundation). We recommend 4 alternates for a total team of 25.

The Race The race is 500 meters and can take between 2 to 4 minutes to complete by a team working in unison. The race begins at the Cleveland Plain Dealer Pavilion (formerly Nautica Stage) and ends at Shooter's near the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. The objective is not to win, but to establish a working relationship with team mates, unify in spirit and energy, and enjoy the races.

Sorry guys, if you were looking to join the team we are only looking for a drummer who is small in size (Sorry, the seats are very tiny) has balance, and can keep the tempo with the people in front (The pacers). You can still come to practices and hand out with us Dragon Slayers and cheer us on. Please let us know if you are interested.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
