  • The Acacia Country Club has been turned into a public park with trails to hike on courtesy of the Cleveland Metroparks.

     

    Acacia Reservation, a 155 acre green space oasis, is located in the City of Lyndhurst. The west branch of Euclid Creek flows northwestward through Acacia Reservation to join the main branch in Euclid Creek Reservation. A 1.7 mile paved loop trail is open, though the building at the main entrance is not currently open to the public.

     

    I-271… FROM THE NORTH• exit at Brainard Rd./Cedar Rd.• turn left (south) on Brainard Rd. and cross over I-271• turn right (west) on Cedar Rd. west/Beachwood and cross overI-271 again• continue west on Cedar Rd. to Acacia Reservation(entrance will be on the right at the traffic light across from Cleveland Clinic/Beachwood Mall)

    I-271… FROM THE SOUTH• exit at Brainard Rd./Cedar Rd.• keep to the right at the fork and follow signs for Cedar Rd. west/Beachwood• merge onto Cedar Rd. and continue west to Acacia Reservation(entrance will be on the right at the traffic light across from Cleveland Clinic/Beachwood Mall)

    I-480… FROM THE EAST OR WEST• to I-271 North (see directions for I-271 from the south)I-90… FROM THE EAST OR WEST• to I-271 South (see directions for I-271 from the north)

    I-71… FROM THE SOUTH (COLUMBUS)• follow ramp to I-271 / Erie PA• see directions for I-271 (from the south)

    Entrance is across from George Zeigler Drive and parking lot is to the right of the entrance.

     

    We will meet in the entrance and then hike until we get tired.
