A MATCHMAKER'S INSIGHTS TO FINDING THE PERFECT MATCH!

DO YOU EVER ASK YOURSELF, IS MY PICKER BROKEN?

Dating is tricky and oftentimes we make dating choices for all the wrong reasons. Sometimes based on wrong perceptions or beliefs. Sometimes on our dating history. Sometimes because we’re simply lonely. And as a result, sometimes we make serious mistakes in choosing the people we date.

Although I had a different topic originally set up for this date, I had a rare opportunity to have a SPECIAL GUEST at this event that YOU'RE GONNA LOVE! So join us at our next meetup where my colleague and professional Matchmaker friend, Annie Mayo of Duets|Ignite Matchmaking will help you really understand the crucial concepts of what makes a good match. Annie has been in the matchmaking business for many years and has VERY successfully matched some perfect mates and has also helped others realize that they were simply not meant to be, and helped them move on to choosing better mates instead.

Of course matching folks involves many factors ... cultural or religious differences, socio-economic status, values, beliefs, behaviors ... Annie believes these are some serious issues you need to weigh when seeking the right mate for you, before you waste any time with an improbable match from the start.

What things can you live with for the right mate? What things can't you live with? What might you be missing by running too soon and what things are absolutely NOT compatible, no matter how much you try to make them work.

And how many folks are you missing out there due to your own biases that are rarely based on fact?

AND YES - WE’LL STILL DISCUSS WHY SO MANY LADIES STILL WANT THE BAD BOYS WHEN A PERFECTLY GOOD MAN IS RIGHT THERE FOR THE CHOOSING!

Let's chat about what we might be too picky about versus the reality of what simply is a bad match that even the joys of sex won't win over, no matter what you do. As always, you will get the chance to sit with 3 different groups of folks during the meetup, and banter with folks at your table about what you're finding out in dating land as it pertains to this topic as well.

As usual, the official meeting begins at 7 but folks start showing up around 6 to order their libations (as a thank you to Mercury Cafe for hosting us) and of course, to mix and mingle with the opposite sex! You simply never know who you'll meet here! Love has happened repeatedly in this group ... it could happen to you! And all for just $10!

Your fearless leader,

Mary Jo Fay

Really enjoyed the group and the topics discussed!!!! Always nice to hear others perspectives and speak openly.

Had an awesome time upstairs again dancing to the blues (live band) with several different partners. Sooooo fun! Watching the other wonderful dancers is fantastic also!! I really need to start hanging out there.

I had a great time at this meetup. There were several others I wanted to attend, but work happened to get in the way. Mary Jo was wonderful and Annie did a great job as well. I enjoyed meeting everyone I did, but would have loved to have met more of you. If you would like to introduce yourself, please shoot me a message. I love to chat. Thanks again to everyone who participated.

I agree with Joe that it would be great if someone could talk about what was discussed. I got a flat on the way out there so got sidetracked. I look forward to the next Meetup in the fall!

Is the policy that you can only RSVP 'Yes' when paying online? I was hoping to pay cash, but since I haven't participated in this group as yet not sure the proper steps . . . thank you.

Yes, preferred method is online payment so that we get more accurate numbers to play with. Please call me if you have a problem with that. [masked] Mary JO

Will there be lie-detectors available to distinguish between the complexity of what someone really wants -- and the simplicity of what is said that theywant someone to hear?

Just my opinion Dru but for me, I have no problem being honest. What i wonder is if what I'm saying is believed or considered a challenge or negotiation point at times. ;) that's what I liked about the last meetup. I was not invested in anyone so I shared my perspective.

One more thought....sometimes a person may not be honest with themselves about what they want . Therefore, unable to be honest with others. To thine own self be true. That's a challenge.
