Have you ever been, or are you currently involved with someone who is: • Egotistical and controlling? • Has no empathy or compassion? • Feels that rules don’t apply to them? • Acts like they think they’re God? • Believes they’re more important than others? • Is NEVER happy no matter what you do?

If so, you may be involved with a NARCISSIST.

They can be your intimate partner, friend, boss, parent, or anyone in your life.

Their victims are left with self-doubt, confusion, stress, anxiety, guilt, and depression. And worst of all, until you figure out who these predators are and how to avoid them, statistics show us that you’ll likely end up repeating your pattern over and over again! So ...

• If he or she seems like Mr. or Ms. Right, but something just seems wrong…

• If you’ve ever been with a mate who was into controlling and manipulating you…

• And if you continually feel like you’re the only one who compromises in your relationships and you’re getting sick of it …

You won’t want to miss this meeting on understanding narcissistic people and how you can protect yourself from them in all walks of your life, whether they be the jerk at work or the jerk in your bed. (Or even dear old Mom or Dad!)

And you don't have to be a single to attend this event!

Why? Well, this is my once a year presentation on this topic to help educate the masses about this crazy phenomenon called narcissism that's out there in epidemic proportions causing mayhem and madness on a huge scale.

So you single folks can even bring your married buddies to this meetup if it might help them in their relationships as well.

As a survivor of several narcissistic relationships myself and the author of When Your Perfect Partner Goes Perfectly Wrong - The Survivor's Guide to Loving or Leaving the Narcissist in Your Life, I interviewed countless folks from around the country to get real stories of both victims and survivors of these complicated relationships.

In addition, people consult with me on this topic from across the globe! This situation is RAMPANT in our world but simply not understood and rarely talked about with understanding of how to avoid it, leave it, and not get enmeshed in it again!

As unbelievable as it sounds, many therapists are not even well versed in this destructive behavior!

And of course, most narcissists are such cunning actors that even if you have gone to therapy as a couple, it is frequently the victim who looks like the crazy one and the narcissist who looks like the poor, sad victim!

The format of this Meetup will be a traditional lecture rather than our usual, small table discussion, as I have a Power Point I'll use to teach you the details of these cunning and manipulative predators. I can guarantee that you will walk away amazed at what you didn't know you didn't know about these manipulative people who have so many of us tied up in knots!

Of course you’ll still meet lots of new single people, and you’ll learn more tricks of the trade on your journey to finding healthy love. What’s not to love for $10?

Questions? Comments? Give me a holler!

Your fearless leader,

Mary Jo Fay

As a follow up to your session, this article I recently published on signs to watch out for regarding the extreme of emotional abuse - Narcissistic Personality Disorder, may help.

Great information. I came because I'm a social worker and psychotherapist. I haven't worked much with narcissisism and found the presentation very informative. I don't think this is the right group for me, but I'm glad I went. Plus The Mercury Cafe is walking distance from where I live.

Hi - this is an interesting subject. Hope, as you say, that this gathering can highlight some ways of coping with & loving people who exhibit this outlook regardless of whether they are your friend, lover or a family member - mines a family member. :)

Comment for this specific event-Why can't people be true to themselves from the beginning of a relationship? It would save so much heartache--on both sides! Seems like the 'ol power trip comes into play as well. Looking forward to your view!
