July 4th - Plum Point, Picnic, Kayak and Walk!!

  • July 4, 2014 · 2:00 PM
  • Kowawese Area - Plum Point Park

This event is joint with my other group, Orange County Outdoor Singles. Please sign up there if you are part of that group, or here if you are only in this group.

I believe we have enough interest to make this official!! We last did a summer party at Plum Point Sept. 18, 2011 (on the OCOS site). We've done at least 6 parties there, you can check back before that for more pictures of what it's all about.

It is an amazing building overlooking the Hudson River in New Windsor across from Anthony's Pier 9 catering. We rent the building and it is ours for the afternoon. It has a full kitchen and bathroom facilities.

My vision for the day is for those that wish to arrive early to either walk the trails or try out a kayak. I will bring mine, others can bring theirs so those that have never set their rear in a kayak can try it out for a short excursion.

Those that want to hike/walk can enjoy the trails. Afterwards we will enjoy a picnic/BBQ overlooking an amazing view down the Hudson River to West Point. The view alone is worth the cost!! There is a limit of 48 people.

It would be $20 per person if we have 20 people, and less if we have more. The cost covers the rental of the building and the alcohol permit. You would bring your favorite adult beverage (wine or beer only), and a yummy dish to share. If you have lawn games please bring them, as well as your camp chair so we can expand ourselves outside. I predict a lovely day!!!

I would appreciate the money up front as that eases my mind, and it is non-refundable, sorry. You can pay me in half now/half later if you wish but I'd appreciate all $ by mid-June.

If this interests you please sign up. I need serious people only, once I get the permit we are committed for the bill which is non-refundable. I would like to get the permit soon as others may also want the building, it's first come, first rented.

If this doesn't interest you please change your RSVP. If we don't get 20 people I will investigate alternate locations but this is worth $20, trust me. :-)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
