An undisputed master of Falstaff, Music Director James Levine conducts Verdi’s opera for the first time at the Met since 2005. Robert Carsen’s production—the first new Met Falstaff since 1964—is set in the English countryside in the mid-20th century. Ambrogio Maestri (last season’s Dulcamara in the Opening Night production of L’Elisir d’Amore) sings the title role of the brilliant and blustery Sir John Falstaff, opposite a marvelous ensemble that includes Angela Meade, Stephanie Blythe, Lisette Oropesa, and Franco Vassallo. Running time 3h20min

I bought the 'assigned seat' so have one. I'll get there by 12:30, but likely a bit earlier than that......hoping for no snow and no weather issues.

I'll be happy to meet you, Maria-Lydia. I don't have curly hair anymore but will be wearing a red coat. See you at the phone booth.

We are going to meet at 12:30 in front of the theater at the telephone booth. Should you have any delays, I will go 10 minutes before it starts and reserve the seats. See you there.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
