Holiday Party at Palmbrook Country Club

Midge of the WVMS Meet-up group (West Vally Mature Singles), has graciously invited us to their holiday party at the Palmbrook Country Club on December 7, at 5:30 p.m.  It is my understanding they had it there last year, and so far, they have about 60 members signed up, 20 who are members of both our group and her group, and I'm told there is room for up to 200.  She and I concur with the mind set of "the more the merrier".  LOL

Tickets are $26.00.  If you are a member of her group, you can pay her through Pay-Pal, or you can get the money to me by Monday the 26th, , or I can give you Midge's address to mail the check to. The deadline to rsvp, including get your payment in,  is Friday Nov. 30.

There will be games, prizes, and a 50/50 raffle.  Santa is taking time out of  his busy schedule to come, so that we can have our picture taken with him if we'd like to.  Bluesman Mike will be the entertainment for the night.  I've been told by many he is very good.

Dress code is holiday wear---- no jeans!

Cocktail hour is 5:30 to 6:30, there is a cash bar at 6:30. The menu is your choice of Prime rib, Chicken cordon bleu, or grilled salmon, (please designate your entree choice when you rsvp-see my rsvp for example), with a dinner salad, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans with sun dried tomatoes, dinner rolls, tea, and coffee.  The $26 includes taxes and gratuity.

Instead of a White Elephant Gift Exchange, we will have a toy drive instead. We haven't done anything charitable this year and since we have so many people coming, it would take a long time to do the gift exchange. Just bring an unwrapped toy/book/game and it won't matter what age because they all need something. They will be donated to the National Guard Family Support Group. Some of these families are really affected when their spouse is deployed. Their take home pay is usually far less than the job where they worked before. Some have had foreclosures, can't pay their utility bills, or afford fuel or daycare when they have to work The children would really appreciate these toys.

Guests are welcome.

Thanks to Midge and her gang for including us this Holiday Season.

If you have questions, please email, call, or text me at[masked]-8889.  You can email Midge questions through our website, as she is a member of 39 and Holding as well. I will bend over backwards to help you get the money to Midge by the deadline.  I can meet you somewhere this weekend, you can bring it to a Meet-up, my work at 107th and Bell, or we can cook up some kind of arrangement. Just rsvping will not save you a spot, Midge must have your payment.

Happy Holdidays to you and yours.  :) Laura
