Dinner and Salsa at Gloria's in Addison

Dancing Style: Salsa, Meringue, Bachata and whatever else you bring!

MY PERSONAL OBSERVATION LAST NIGHT, NOT EVERYBODY DANCES SALSA

Of 100% dancing... 45% were doing true, coordinated Salsa, 30% were doing uncoordinated Salsa-like movements and the remaining 25% were doing basic "Swing" with a little Latin shoulder action for effect.

Gloria’s Addison location tears it up on Saturday nights when live music paves the way to a dance floor shimmering with pheromones and enthusiasm.

• The Women are beautiful and beautifully dressed; not all have dates, many are standing in pairs or groups and all are looking for Dance partners!

• The Men know their dance steps, are looking to dance and willing to share what they know!

Come early for a table, with dinner, and you’ll miss the Cover and the Line that forms outside. It’s crowded, but in a good way, so prepare to get cozy with your neighboring dancers and forgive a little booty bump now and again.

We've got about 25-30 sitting in the covered patio with flame heaters.... just venture to the far wall, go out the two doors that says EXIT, turn right and we're the massive long table... hard to miss us!

I changed our reservation to 7p because Gloria's does NOT reserve tables on Fri and Sat... its a "first come, first seat". I was told our large party arriving at 8p and after would not all be seated together. So, for the benefit of others that can only arrive later, please, if you could... please show up earlier, have some dinner (or snacks) and help save tables for our large group (now up to 35-40 across two MeetUp's). Thanks in advance.

Hi all........even if you don't dance, it's a blast just watching people. And the music is fun! It will be kind of loud so if that bothers you, bring ear plugs! See you all there around dancing time!

My pleasure! You'll be surprised at how much like "Swing" dance that "Salsa" is... with just some extra hip/shoulder/arm movement (but not required)
