Silicon Valley Indian Professionals Association (SIPA)“ I have been a member since 1998 and started volunteering from 2006. This is a great organization to not just network but learn something. As an engineer/programmer/developer, SIPA offered a modest setting for me to meet other like people and just explore what is happening outside my cubicle. I go to TIE events and frequently get overwhelmed. TIE is great if you need to meet 3-4 VCs and are looking for funding or very specific advice. SIPA has a slightly different goal. They want to help the professional especially if you are a techie. Now, volunteering at SIPA gives me a high. (by the way - Samosas and Chai at the end of the day is a treat) ”
