Hello Stitchers!

Bring a project and fun conversation to Filo. Inside this charming stone building is a relaxed atmosphere with wonderfully large windows and plenty of natural light. Don't forget a little cash to enjoy a sweet treat or your favorite drink

Filo is located across the street from the VA Hospital on Tunnel Rd. There is parking in the rear of the building.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Cheers,

Stephanie

I really enjoyed meeting more stitchers; that part was fun. However, I wouldnt go back there for a meeting because the noise level and the acoustics in the room made it very difficult to hear what anyone said if they were more than a foot away. Trying to sew against the glaring light of the window was not pleasant.

Sorry I have to back out of this one, but I've been feeling kinda of bad lately, and a trip to the doctor today confirmed that I've got bronchitis. Lots of fluids, rest, and a new antibiotic.... and I"ll be all fixed up for the next one!

Catherine, I have wondered where needlework groups are in Asheville. I belong to Bascom Needleworkers in Highlands. We meet on the terrace of The Bascom (art museum) on Sat. mornings. Our group started with two people. Most weeks we now have 20-30 people and now meet year round. In Cashiers there is a group that meets on Wed. Mornings at Buck's (coffee shop). My point is that more groups can be started if there is an interest. Perhaps churches, libraries, community centers are options.

Hi everyone! Unfortunately for me, a work conflict has arisen and I will not be able to attend this meetup at Filo. Karin will be hosting this event now :) I hope you all have a wonderful time!

I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone at the next meetup!
