I knit, therefore I am.
Do you mean how many UFO's dot the landscape at my house or what am I actively working on? I am about half way through a cowl from the newest Vogue magazine. I want to use up some small balls of cashmere and thought this project would fill the bill. I am also working on a shawlette in a pattern called Pleiades that will be a gift for my friend Suzanne.
I have done a lot of sewing in the past, but not so much lately. In childhood, I learned the basics of knitting from my mother, but didn't take it seriously at all. In my early 30's I made one simple sweater and started an intarstia number that eventually became moth eaten in the attic. About 10 years I taught myself continental style and found my flow. I like lace knitting best, but require solitude and concentration to keep the count straight. I try to keep an easy small project on the needles at all times for car trips and something more complicated for quiet times at home. I have a large enough stash that if I knit until my final breath, I might make a dent in it.

What a pleasant afternoon! Always happy to make new friends. Impossible to predict my next Thursday off from work, but I can see myself spending them knitting at All Good again.
