Sisters in Stitches Message Board › Barn Quilts
April drawing winner is Sheila Dorrer. Congrats! Our next drawing is courtesy of Kniticality in Saluda, our newest sponsor. The owner, Amy Johnson, is a talented designer and has generously donated a kit to make her Easy Stranded Cowl (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-stranded-cowl) with enough Sulka yarn included to make a size large. We are excited they have joined our group as a sponsor and will be having a monthly meetup at their store the third monday of each month, beginning May 18th. I hope some of you ladies down in our southern regions can make that one. We are hoping to get a prize for June's drawing from Asheville Cotton, for those of you who prefer fabric as your medium. Again, to be eligible for the drawing, you must be a paid member of SIS and have attended a meetup during the Month of May.
We are a group of creative, friendly folks of all ages who love to chat, see what our neighbor is working on, share our skills and ideas and learn from one another. Hailing from all different skill sets from newbie to professional -we welcome you and whatever crafty stitchin' business you want to work on! We've got sewists, knitters, embroiderers, crocheters, menders, cross stitchers, felters, quilters .. . .(yeah, we could go on. . .. )
We gather several times a month at locally owned independent businesses in Asheville, or at private residences, parks or public events. Let us know if you have ideas or would like to host us! Hope to stitch with you soon!
