food & drink: when garlic met papri(ka)

  • what we are doing

Spain is a great fan of garlic and paprika. We very often use chopped garlic and paprika, fried in oil, to season vegetables.

When these 2 ingredients dance together we obtain savoury and appetizing dishes.
Discover how exquisite can be this combination.

    what you will learn

Everyone knows that Spanish love garlic but most of the people don't know that they also love paprika.
And when we combine them the results are worth mentioning.

We will prepare 4 different dishes so that you will see how vegetables can become that flavoursome, simply delicious.

    - Cauliflower and potatoes accompanied with fried garlic and paprika sauce

    - Silverbeet with ham (optional for non vegetarians) and onions accompanied with fried garlic and paprika sauce

    - Chickpeas with rice seasoned with paprika and garlic

    - Sliced potatoes boiled in a yummy milk sauce with paprika, garlic and parsley

Pamela and Carlee. For the moment only you two are confirmed. Is that OK for you if I postpone for next Monday 22nd?

And yes Pamela, we can hold the payment for other class even if it's not cooking. But my classes are not always on Monday, they are very often actually on the weekends, especially on Sundays. I will keep you updated anyway of the forthcoming classes.

Thanks, Leticia! I often see classes of yours that I would consider so I'm not worried and I'll keep an eye out ;) And I hope the harvest meal went well!

Hi ladies, I remind you that on Sunday we celebrate the Harvest Feast with Chalkle. A great event to gather other chalklers. Games, pot luck dinner, music and other surprises. Starts at 3pm but people can just get there when they can. If you can please please RSVP and confirming which food you will bring for the potluck. :-)
