what we are doing

Its an exciting time of year to get into local food! We will begin with a brief run down of what's most in season in December, like the first of delicious summer produce!
We will go for a tour around Hill St Market, looking at the delicious vegetables and fruits on offer from the vendors and discuss how to turn them into delicious meals. We will end with a look at some recipes and a discussion about local and seasonal food, while enjoying a snack made from local ingredients!

What vegetables and fruit are at their best in December and some delicious ways to prepare them. We will share tips on how to make the most of what's in season at Hill St Market! We will also discuss why eating seasonally is important.

Enthusiasm! Also a pen and paper if desired; cash to buy produce at the market if desired.

If you RSVP for a class and fail to show up, you will get a "no show". Three no shows means you will be removed from chalkle. You may request to rejoin after six months.

If you cancel your RSVP:

- less than 7 days = restricted from this class for three months.

- after 7pm night before =  class restriction, and a no show will be recorded.
