The movie was very well done, a portrayal from the "eye" of the storm. The restaurant had a very nice selection and tasty food.

Although I had previously seen TROUBLE THE WATER last spring at the Tribeca Film Festival, I found a second viewing necessary due to the overwhelming nature of the documentary. More than a "weather" report or an indictment of governmental shortsightedness, the two protagonists (Kim & Scott) go through several life-changing experiences (both positive and negative). Amazingly, they take the high road by helping others, saving family members, and keeping the faith. By reaching out to those that could do them the most good until governmental agencies (like FEMA) finally kick in, Kim & Scott's story ends up being the silver lining to a very deadly hurricane. With the recent near-miss this past week, I could really identify more fully with the predicament of the peopel of New Orleans and the fear of it recurring again. Special thanks to Robyn for organizing this (hope you are feeling better) and to all the regular group members for welcoming me to a great meetup.
