College of Curiosity

College of Curiosity is an intense one-day conference and workshop held at the indescribable City Museum in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, May 26th, 2012. Registration is $30 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under.

This event features lectures, demonstrations and self-guided exploration into a wide variety of curious topics. The goal is to broaden your horizons by demonstrating some of the amazing things that are part of the world in which we live.

Some of the many things you’ll experience at the College of Curiosity:

  • Climb out of an airplane and into another (Oh yes, they’re in the air)
  • See the world’s largest pencil
  • Explore tunnels, tree houses, and caves that cover acres of indoor space
  • Taste foods in a completely new way. Drink lemon juice and enjoy it!
  • Learn about bizarre radio stations and unexplained sounds
  • Find out what it’s like to be abducted by aliens
  • Learn how you can explore space from your bedroom
  • Realize that you can do incredible math in your head
  • Keep your secrets to yourself, and then have someone whisper them to you
  • Defy gravity in several different ways
  • Climb through secret passages leading to caves and tree houses
  • Fall ten stories and live to tell about it
  • Explore lost architecture
  • Encounter giant insects
  • and have the time of your life
