I have recently made the decision to resign as president of the Skeptical Society of St. Louis. As you probably noticed, I have recently not been organizing as many events as I used to. I have become busy with other things and as a result have not had as much time to devote to the group. I still plan on attending events and helping where I can, though in a more limited role. Thankfully, we have found an excellent replacement. I am pleased to announce that Missy Rung-Blue will be stepping in as the next president of the Skeptical Society. Missy has been going to skeptic events for a while, and I think she will bring a lot of passion and new ideas to the role. I am excited to see what direction she takes thing in. But she can’t do it alone, so if you are willing to pitch in and help organize an event or two or help in some other way, please let her know. She is planning on having a meeting early next year to talk about the future of the group, and to elect new board members and officers.
I’d like to thank all of you for making this one of the biggest and best skeptics groups in the country, and I look forward to many fun group events in the future. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to the new president of the Skeptical Society of St. Louis, Missy Rung-Blue.
