CFI-LA Labor Day Picnic & Games in Griffith Park

Join CFI-LA for a special Labor Day celebration at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. CFI will provide the games, e.g. bocce ball and horseshoes, while attendees bring their own food (we'll have the use of two permanent grills) and table service. There will be seven picnic tables and benches in the shade, with nearby restrooms, playground equipment, and bike rental facility. You may also want to bring your own chairs, picnic blankets, etc.

There is plenty of parking near the Crystal Springs Picnic area on the east side about two miles north of Los Feliz Blvd. on Griffith Park Drive. Turn east at the stop sign and go past the Ranger Station and baseball field. Follow this map

    Could not find you.

Drove up to 4668 Crystal Springs Dr. (on Google Map and GPS) and check out area by foot. Then went one mile up the road and parked at the Old Zoo picnic area and looked far and wide for about an hour.

    Where were you?

Really sorry I missed you guys.

    See you all next time

So sorry you missed us, guynemer. It was definitely hard to find; my wife and I had to look around a while as well. Here's an exact map of where it was:

So sorry I missed you too. I must have walked really close and yet not recognized the group. Maybe the next time, the person organizing the event can give out their phone #. Anyway, see you all next time.

I really enjoyed the conversations and the food. I liked that it was near the bike rental area. Thanks, everyone. I had fun!

Hi! I would like to attend if I can get a ride. I live in Hollywood near Paramount Studios and Hollywood Forever. I drive, but there's a block party happening (The Taste), so I can't move my car. If I can't get a ride, it's no biggie, but I thought I'd give it a shot so I can attend. Thanks.
