Bring a snack and join other readers on the second Wednesday of every month at 7 PM for CFI-West's Book Club for Skeptics. Visitors welcome! Heck, you don't even have to have read the book to join in the conversation!

August's selection: THINKING, FAST AND SLOW by Daniel Kahneman

We should be in the upstairs meeting room, but if not, there will be a sign when you come in the door from the parking lot to guide you.

Great! In spite of me! I was a wreck, tired from the heat and suffering from 'summer time' worry - not unusual for me. Sorry for my over the top self indulgent silliness. I think how the brain evaluates situations, stereotyped, familiar, or novel is always a worthy topic. - Gary

The well being argument. I've always suspected that arguing from reason and facts does not always overcome people's biases. I've suspect that the greater the level of human flourishing, the more rational and less super-naturalism and superstition in the population, for example Denmark. - Gary
