The Greater L.A. Skeptics Meetup Group Message Board › This Thursday Test Screening of "Kidnapped For Christ" Documentary
|A former member||
We are very excited to invite anyone who lives in the Los Angeles area to our first test screening of "Kidnapped For Christ," at 8pm this Thursday, Nov. 1st, at the Backstage Theater on the Sony lot.
Kidnapped for Christ follows the stories of several American teenagers who were sent to Escuela Caribe, an American-run Evangelical Christian reform school in The Dominican Republic. Students are sent to Esceula Caribe by their parents, for offenses ranging from drug use to running away to suicide attempts, or for simply not getting along with their parents. The film centers on David, a straight-A student who was sent to Escuela Caribe after coming out to his parents as gay. David was taken in the night without warning by a "transport service" and was never told where he was going or when he would return home.
Doors open at 7:30pm and the screening will begin at 8pm. The film currently runs just under 80 minutes and afterwards we will be gathering audience feedback for 20-30 minutes.
The Address:10202 West Washington Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232 . Please park at the Madison Ave. gate.
If you plan to attend please RSVP no later than Wednesday night with your full name to Info@redthornproductions.com, that way the security guard will be able to let you onto the lot.
Also, feel free to invite your friends, family or co-workers – just make sure they also RSVP so we can put them on the list. We are very excited to get audience feedback on the film and hope to see many of you on Thursday! Questions? Email email@example.com
