Movie Critic Chris Pollay(Captain Cinema) presents: Real Life Superheroes Exist!

This year, SupermanIron ManWolverine and Thor will all attempt to dominate villains and the box office. Superhero films are big business... having made billions of dollars in recent years. The Avengers alone is the third highest grossing film of all time with $1.5 billion worldwide. And yet, nobody seems to know much about the dozens (possibly hundreds) of real life superheroes currently active in the world, many of whom believe they possess actual superpowers as they attempt to parol the streets and fight crime.

Come join Chris Pollay (a.k.a. Captain Cinema) for a viewing of the 2011 HBO Documentary Superheroes and a short presentation to discover more about this strange subculture.

We'll have drinks at the Blue Moose afterwards!

Chris has a knack for finding fascinating documentaries and this was no exception. I think we all enjoyed a very funny, yet poignant film about people living out their comic-book superhero fantasies. Thanks, Chris, for an entertaining and enlightening evening.
