LOL, there are a lot of jobs I can do, the challenge is to GET them.  I have recruiters hitting me all the time, they are just looking fro skill sets I haven't used in many years (c#/Java mostly)

My current job from hell is totally about getting Java experience back on my resume.

Adam,

Well the good news is that the jobs numbers are improving, slowly but surely. So somewhere out there has to be a job you don't hate quite as much. I would recommend a little patience so you can secure a new job before quitting the old one, though. If you don't know what to do, there are aptitude tests you can take. It's usually better to take about 4 of them and just look at the careers that all of them point you to. --Lynne

There is a lot of work that does not feel like this.  When I was a bag boy at a grocery store, I actually produced bagged groceries.

When I worked at sears telecatalog, I produced completed orders that got people stuff.

When I worked at hostess, I produced software that was effective and helped distribute Twinkies and bread.

Since I came to work for the state government in august, all I have produced is paperwork that no one reads (except the bureaucrat who will reject them) and does not contain useful information.  then rewrite them again.  because I am almost the only native english speaker on my team.  I produce nothing.  I have nothing to take pride in.
