Thanks for the link – good editorial! I recently read “Darwin’s Ghosts, The Secret History of Evolution” by Rebecca Stott, and there was a chapter on Denis Diderot. If you haven’t read much on the early atheists and authors who dared put their beliefs in print in dangerous times for such forthrightness, you really should read this book about our freethinking forebears.
