A Bay Area Skeptics in the Pub, West Bay Special Presentation Replacing the usual meeting at Fidler's Green

Speaker: Robert Asher, Ph.D.

Can a scientist believe in God? Does the ongoing debate between some evolutionists and evangelicals show that the two sides are irreconcilable? As a paleontologist and a religious believer, Robert Asher constantly confronts the perceived conflict between his occupation and his faith.

Dr. Asher is Curator of Vertebrates in the University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge. Over the past two decades, his research has taken him to Argentina, Britain, Canada, Kenya, Madagascar, Mongolia, South Africa, Spain, the United States and Venezuela. He regularly publishes scientific articles in leading journals including PNAS, Science and Nature.

The deism aspect was less important to me. What I loved was the overview of evolutionary biology.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
