Bike Downingtown area NOTE NEW EARLIER TIME!!!

Due to the heat & forecast for afternoon thunderstorms, I've moved the start time to 8:30 am!!!  Still meet at Kardon Park.  The only sign says "Duck Ponds".  See details below.  I might adjust the route depending upon the weather.  It was pleasant under the trees on the Struble & Uwchlan.

Bike up to 20 miles between various parks and trails in the Downingtown area including Kardon, Kerr and Johnsontown Parks, Harmony Hill nature area, Struble & Uwchlan trails. Mostly paved & shaded along branches of the Brandywine, some inclines, mostly off-road, but some on-road. Good for all bikes. Helmets required. Bad weather cancels. We'll do a "figure 8" loop so those who want to only bike 10 miles can do a shorter ride. Those doing the full ride will bike up the Uwchlan Trail to The Brickside for a snack before returning, so bring some $$. NOTE: there is no sign for Kardon Park. The entrance to the park is on Pennsylvania Ave. @ 0.1 mi from Wallace Ave, across from a “duck pond” and across from Green St. (aka Rte 282).
