Hello Members and Friends of SUA Br. 108,

I hope everyone had a festive holiday season.  I received a great response for holding our first meeting of 2012 on January 22. We will have a 1:00 pm luncheon meeting in the back dining room at the Hunan in Olney.  Please reply to this e-mail with YES in the subject line if you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly.

Our agenda will include:

Election and installation of officers

Setting a date for a demonstration of painting Easter eggs in the Slovenian tradition and making potica

Suggestions for activities

Guest speaker – Blaza Cedilnik (Marjeta Cedilnik’s mother who is visiting from Slovenia) on the topic of “Nova Zaveza” followed by discussion

Thanks to all who responded  about attending the first SUA meeting of 2012 this afternoon.  We’re expecting a good turnout, so we can get close to filling both dining tables in the back dining hall.

If you would like to come and haven’t RSVP’d, there is still room, so you are welcome to join us.

We usually have an all you can eat family style lunch with a variety of foods to select from; the cost per person, including tax will be approximately $8 - $9. It is important for our officers to attend and participate in the installation of officers if they are reelected.

Blazza Cedilnik is looking forward to meeting you all again this year and serving as our guest speaker on “Nova zaveza” and the current political/economic climate in Slovenia.
