tee hee, I love the ghostly human spirit :) So good!
Alison Armstrong speaks of people operating as Human Animals as well as Human Spirits. I wasn't entirely clear on what she meant in this section. I think she had a chart, but since it was a CD, we only heard a description of it. I think her point was that it is useful to be able to recognize our tendency to communicate as Human Animals and to be able to shift into Human Spirit mode. She also said, I think, that it can be difficult to know what kind of communication a person is using at the moment. I recommend a flag system.
If you want to know more about Human Animals and Human Spirits, ask Marie. It went over my head. Marie, are you reading this? How about some help?
Hi, Colin :) I think it was the group who agreed it can be hard to tell if you're coming from human animal or human spirit. In the beginning, she said that you can tell if you're in human animal because you feel fear, competition, scarcity. Human animal is what she calls our instincts. The way we instinctively react to a situation would be considered Human Animal. When we are able to recognize our instinctive urges and CHOOSE to behave in a more effective way, that is Human Spirit. At least, that's how I understand it :) Perhaps others will have a different interpretation.
Your illustrations make me happy! Thank you for posting them :)
Ditto on your great insightful illustrations. I think Allison also mentioned that in human spirit mode, we would be looking from a place of having amongst our primary focus: enhaning and fulfilling life, and our experience in that place is of happiness, intimacy, connectedness, generosity and power from that connection. Looking forward to the next one!
