Winter Smoke Rings.

You ever have a cigar on a winter day and watch the smoke pass you by. You can sometimes be a little creative and try to shape things. Kind of cool. Anyway, you won't have to say out in the cold as we head for the Carnegie Club on our next meet. One of the more stylish lounges in NYC and our group always feel welcome here. It has been awhile since we stop here and we will try to get here more often in the future. For those who have never been here, there is a nice size bar as you walk in and a rather large lounge seating area. There is also a very romantic setting mezzaine. Food is available here with waitress service. A nicely stacked bar and very comfortable. They do have a nice cigar menu but it is a little costly. My suggestion is bring your own and pay the $10 cutting fee. We haven't seen any new members lately and there are plenty of you out there. Be careful because there is a dress code here, so dress neatly and no sneakers. Make a resolution and stop by, the worst that will happen is you will have a fun time. Just checked out our photos on pass events. We will have our next event Feb 27 because every year at this time we get our new recruits and a big showup, so keep that date in mind. Remember, you can always bring guests to our events, the more the merrier. Ok guys, keep warm and I will see you on the 27th.

When you get a chance, everyone should read the message, I left on the discussion board.

We will take a short break and we reume again on Feb 27th. I am in the process of opening another cigar group at meetup for the purpose of gaining new recruits. Do not join this group, it is for new members only. Our next meetup will be a large gathering.

I like to apologize to everyone about the mixup start. Did not know there would be a last minute party booked and we would not start to 8:00. With the help of Roger, we try to notify members on the site about the change. We also stood outside in the bitter cold suggesting to members to hangout in the area. Some stood and unfortunately, it was to late for others. Anyone we still did a nice turnout and had a wonderful time. Met a lot of new people and hopefully picked up some more new members. We did have a photograher from the NY Times taken our pictures for a feature they are doing about meetups. It was a crowded place last night, so if I left any members names off the list, please notify me.

At the moment, hang out outside of Carnegie please. Club closed for private event. Bob and I are trying to find an alternate location to host the meetup.

Can we push this back to 7:00pm?

It doesn't matter if you get there later. Everybody gets there whenever they can make it. Many of us stay late, so not at all a problem.

Hey, Can I join you guys late - about 6:30 or 7ish? How long do you guys go normally?

That's usually the time I get there and they're still in full swing :)

Many of the members don't even get there until an hour or two later. Many of us hang around for several hours.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
