It's a Launching Party!

Our next meet will be at the Cigar Inn which will be celebrating their launching of their new brand cigars. Cigar Inn is actually a cigar store with a beautiful lounge in the back. They have a walk in humidor with a wide selection for even the serious smoker. This is the lineup of their new cigars which represents each of the 5 boros."The New York Cigar Inn Borough Series cigar" is of Honduran and Nicaraguan filler, Honduran binder, and Peruvian wrapper. This cigar comes in five sizes representing each borough of New York.

Manhattan - Toro Size. 6X56.

Brooklyn - Gigante.6X60.

Bronx - Grand Robusto. 5X60.

Queens - Robusto. 5.5X50.

Staten Island - Torpedo.6.25X52.

This is a medium to full bodied cigar with dark notes of roasted coffee espresso beans and hints of fresh lemon zest peel.

This is being done in a party style event. There will be food, beverages and a DJ. Understand it does get crowded here but I still have attended several of their parties and it is fun. Not only will you be with my members but many of the patrons of Cigar Inn. Do not bring any of your own cigar here. You must purchased from them. Also, their official start is 6:30, so I don't know if they will let you in if you arrived earlier. I will be getting there 5:30 and the worst scenario kill time in the many bars in the area. You are allowed to smoke anywhere in the place except in the walk in humidor. So come on down and enjoy yourself.

Great fun to be invited to a cigar launch. Cigar Inn did it very well.

Place quickly got packed and lively. Although the area in the back got crowded and very smokey, the overall ambiance and atmosphere there was awesome. Plenty of cigars to choose from and I settled on their Brooklyn house cigar brand that I purchased two of. Very nice smoke indeed. Definitely a nice place for a smoke but my only complaint is that they improve the ventilation in the back because it was just a bit unbearable at times to stand there without having my eyes burn.

I've been here in the past and the ventilation system in the back is not that bad. The problem is when you have a crowd like last night that the space is confined it's going to get smokey. We will be back here again and we will used the new 73rd St location also and under normal conditions it will be much more pleasant.

It's been awhile since I've been back at Cigar Inn. The first few years starting this group, I used it many times. I now see they did many improvements for the better. Anyway, as suggested the place was mob last night as they offically launch their own brand cigars. I had the Brooklyn smoke and indeed very good. The back lounge was completed crowded and very smokey. They had a nice display of food with wine and beer. Most of the times, I was back and forth because my members were all over the place. I do apologize for missing some of the members but I do leave my contact number to everyone. It is sometimes easier to find me then vice versa. Altogether, a very good and different type of evening. We will be coming back in a few months again and I promise this time it won't be that crowded and more comfortable.

Its been a while since I've been out with my fellow cigar smokers, and the evening did not disappoint. Yes, it was mad crowded, yes it was smoky, but I had some great smokes and great food, had a Rudolph Giuliani sighting, and spent the evening chatting it up with Jeffery Avo Uvesian as well as my fellow members. How excellent is that?
