Come to Unity Run Pasadena, a local event in the Unity Run series of nationwide running events remembering Boston Marathon 2013.
Our running community was rocked this week. When news of the Boston Marathon bombing surfaced we immediately thought of the last race that we ran, our friends and family that waited for us at the finish line, as well as the unknown spectators that cheered for us without knowing our names.
This weekend, we run for Boston.
We run to remember and honor.
We run because nothing--nothing--will stop us.
Join the Pasadena Pacers, Team In Training, Southern California Pacers, Gritty City Track Club, A Runners Circle and Run With Us in the Unity Run Pasadena, an event to show the San Gabriel Valley communities support for the runners and spectators of Boston and to show solidarity for our running community. Past Boston Marathon finishers will be on-hand to run with us and share their stories one-on-one, and local running clubs will have representatives present to talk about their clubs. Wear your club shirt or a race shirt to show support, if you have one.
Please note that this grassroots fun run will be untimed and unsupported; runners should bring all needed supplies with them. Clubs and stores are asked to coordinate with their communities and to bring a banner or tent so you're clearly represented.
