Let's go climbing at Texas Canyon

Meet me either at the parking lot at Rush Canyon Road and Forest Route 5N15 at 5 PM or later at the crag. We will be climbing till sun-down. Bring your headlamps to get back to the cars.

Routes from 5.6 and up can be climbed either TR or lead, i.e. there are fun climbs for all levels from beginners to the experts.

Helmet is highly recommended because of small loose rocks.

Exit CA14 at Sand Canyon, go north on Sand Canyon for 2.0 miles and turn right on Sierra, after 4.4 miles turn left on Rush Canyon at a sign for Rowher Flat OHRV. Follow Rush Canyon Road for 1.6 miles to a gate on your left, park there and pass the gate on Forest Route 5N15 for 0.2 miles, then turn right on a very steep and slippery trail down to the crag. Rush Canyon Road is a dirt road once you are up in the hills.

Use your Adventure Pass or Annual Interagency Pass for parking. For detailed info about available passes, go to the following site and scroll down towards the end of the page:
