We practice mindfulness in the tradition of Zen Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. We will occasionally join the local Sanghas that meet once a week. We also practice mindfulness in nature with Gaia Sangha: sometimes that is a meditative beach clean up, or a walk in Griffith Park. We will also meet up for special events like Thich Nhat Hanh's public talk in Pasadena or retreats at Deer Park monastery.
We vary in our experience with meditation and the study of Buddhism, but share a common desire to engage in mindfulness, compassion and loving kindness in our daily lives. Beginners are welcome.

You can e-mail questions to gaiasangha@live.com. If you are like me and send a lot of meetup mail to a folder you don't check very often, but would like to hear about mindfulness in nature events, email gaiasangha@live.com with SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.
Wishing you peace.
