But what about Robert Redford in "ALL IS LOST"? :) (inside joke, y'all)

What about Redford in ALL IS LOST?! This was a vehicle in which the icon reminded us why he's among the Hollywood elite. Chiwetel Ejiofor gave a career-defining performance in 12 Years A SLAVE. If the Academy fails to acknowledge him next year, it will evince the institution is corrupted by politics and money. :-) Neverthess, Ejiofor has many strides before him in the marathon to join Redford on the mountaintop! Think Jay-Z or Nas vs. Drake, the latter is no match for the long in the tooth "enduring" pioneers. Bu, I believe Ejiofor is just getting warmed up.

I recently saw Chiwetel Ejiofor in another film at AFI Fest, 'Half of a Yellow Sun' where he plays a more passionate role...LOL...He's such an intense actor isn't he?

(Sighing) Charles I am almost attempted to see it again just to go to the Q&A to see McQueen. Recently he was at the AFI Fest and I got a chance to see him in person there. He's definitely worth seeing twice...(LOL) He's an awesome director! Very funny, quirky and smart! OMG! Him and Singleton in the same room?

How often are you privileged to be in the presence of greatness? Ruminate on that question. A new wave or renaissance in American cinema is dawning. McQueen and Lee Daniels are at the vanguard. Unprecedented! Need I say more? :-)
