Dinner Before The Movie
Update: RSVPs are now closed for dinner, but feel free to still join us for the movie and dessert at Lenny's Deli.
Your host (Tim) will kick the evening off with dinner at Maria's Italian Kitchen (just a short two block walk from the theater along Pico) at 5:00 p.m.. Please indicate in the comments section if you'll be joining us for dinner. I will make a reservation Saturday afternoon, so contact me no later than 3:00 p.m. Saturday if you would like to join us. Please no walk-ins!
This critically-acclaimed film is based upon the true story of a mixed-race illegitimate daughter of a British Admiral raised in eighteenth-century England. She is raised by her great-uncle, Lord Mansfield, who eventually becomes Lord Chief Justice. Eventually, issues revolving around her lineage and social status help to end slavery in England.

Showtime is 7:10 p.m. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance to guarantee theater access and to ensure a good seat (this is a reserved seating theater). I will sitting in N-3.
Bonus: Director Amma Asante will appear in person on Saturday, May 3 for a Q&A after the 7:10 p.m. screening.
There is plenty of free parking in the underground parking garage. Be sure to get your ticket validated at one of the machines in the theater lobby to receive three free hours of parking.
