Premise: "Disney's A Christmas Carol," a multi-sensory thrill ride re-envisioned by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, captures the fantastical essence of the classic Dickens tale in a groundbreaking 3-D motion picture event. Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk (Gary Oldman) and his cheery nephew (Colin Firth). But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it's too late. Cast: Jim Carrey, Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Bob Hoskins, Robin Wright Penn, Cary Elwes, Fionnula Flanagan Run Time: 1 hr. 36 min MPAA RATING: PG - for scary sequences and images

Although the majority of movie deals with dark themes, it's visually stunning. I enjoyed the latter part of the movie more than the first half. Saw the trailer for "How To Train Your Dragon IMAX 3D" and brand new trailer for "Avatar" -- that's some eye-poppin' candy. It was a pleasure meeting Gary and hearing about his career in animation -- cool props and shout-out for "Fairly Odd Parents"! Thanks, Geoff for coming out to support our movie events. Jeff, sorry that we missed you and hope that you were able to enjoy the movie.
