RE: [socalrawfood] Goat Farm Apologies

Thanks for sharing I’m usually one that just listens when it comes to big groups discussions. You dodge a valid point many think going to a farm can be against their Vegan Beliefs but why can’t we visit animals and love them and be one with them as you said.

Thanks for clarifying and it wasn’t a cruelty free farm why wouldn’t want to go and let our voice heard? Hmmm something to think about!

seeing animals and nurturing them in nature ....is the best thing one vegan can do....veganism do not mean "escape" from animals..but to nourish them and let them grow in humane way..

Hi Everyone,

it has been brought to my attention that some people are upset by the idea of visiting a goat farm.  It was not my intention whatsoever to offend anyone or go against the groups ideals.

My intention is to "get back to the land" so to speak, and I feel being one with animals is one way to do that.  From what I was told, this farm is a humane farm where they treat their animals as family members.  I have chickens on my property whom roam free, and it is a very beautiful thing that I enjoy very much, and I do not believe this is not vegan

I feed my dog raw, to my understanding dogs are carnivores. I feed my dog humane organic chicken, beef, etc. I know some vegans feed their pets vegans but I dont believe that their anatomy was built for them to eat this way.

So again I apologize if this posting offended anyone or gave them the wrong idea of this group, I 100% believe in animal rights, but I also belive in living peacefully with them as we once did.  I hope this makes sense.

I do want to thank those who spoke up about their concerns as it only leads me to be a better group organize and streamline the types of events people find enjoyable!
